Borealis with high-barrier packaging for mechanical recycling of PP

Borealis announces the launch of a new MMonomaterial bag designed for recycling with a PP content of over 95%, which will be presented at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE) in May. Developed in collaboration with partners along the value chain, the sustainable high-barrier packaging format offers a range of benefits for film and laminate manufacturers as well as brand owners and end consumers. As mono-material PP packaging, it can help to achieve the EU’s ambitious recycling and waste reduction targets for packaging and packaging waste (PPWR) and make sensible use of recycling processes in line with extended producer responsibility (EPR).

Successful start to sustainability manager training!

The Austrian Carbon Cycle Circle (ÖCC²) sustainability manager course with a focus on plastics was launched at the TFZ in Wiener Neustadt at the beginning of February. In cooperation with ECCOStandards & more KG, this course leads to certification in accordance with EN ISO 17024.
